Senegalese kora master Lamine Cissokho have played kora all his life. This has led him all over the world and to many musical collaborations - he's been praised by leading kora players like Toumani Diabaté etc.

Lamine is currently living in Sweden where he is constantly touring in different line-up's. Up 'til now he has released two previous solo albums. Full of great singing and rhythms- This is something else.
In 2016 Lamine met up with producer (and Sing a song fighter label founder) Karl Jonas Winqvist. They were discussing a trip to Senegal.
Karl Jonas also asked to produce a solo album with Lamine:

Karl Jonas: "I think Lamine's kora playing is exceptional. So, I started to dream up this instrumental album where it's just Lamine and his kora and then let them meet another musician on every track. Like duets with no words. At the moments I was listening a lot to Charlie Haden's great album "closeness" which is instrumental duets with Alice Coltrane, Keith Jarrett etc...And Lamine liked the idea as much as me. So, I invited six of my favorite swedish musicians to let them meet Lamine and his kora one by one. We recorded the duets live in a great old studio in Stockholm during two long days. I was blown away. By Lamine's beautiful compositions and by all the involved musicians.
This album is a free flowing spirit and should rightfully put Lamine Cissokho on the map as one of the most exciting and brilliant kora players there is."
